Our Client, a large and prominent U.A.E. firm is expanding dramatically within the Emirates and it is presently seeking for a few high caliber candidates for the domain of Director of Abu Dhabi Office – Corporate Commercial / Partner Level (Expatriate). Package will be determined by the candidates’ experience, skills and competencies. With its head office in Dubai, this firm has the rare luxury in these times of being swamped with work. Requirements & Responsibilities

• This individual shall be responsible for executing the Firm’s expansion strategy, of which Abu Dhabi comprises the key initiative.
• This position requires culturally-flexible, energetic, yet mature individual who is capable of handling major transactions as well as supervising a team of up to 8 lawyers within the office he / she will build.
• A bare minimum of 10 years’ post qualification experience in a mandatory, although candidates with experience closer to 20 years will be considered advantaged.
• Thus, the successful candidate will possess quantitative and qualitative transactional experience, as well as a proven track record of advising large clients in multijurisdictional and complex matters.
• A background in property and / or real estate development would be a profound asset.
• The major task will be to build up the Abu Dhabi office.
• The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to manage the practice semi autonomously.
• Knowledge of formal English and in the idiom is vital.
• Candidates qualified in England and Wales preferred but the preference is for practitioners with legal education obtained in the United Kingdom, Canada, US, with practice experiences in those countries or in Hong Kong

• The senior lawyers will report directly to the Head of Corporate Practice, based in the Firm’s Dubai Office.
• With 8 – 12 years PQE
• The successful candidate will possess a broad range of experience, in more than one jurisdiction
• Must be highly conversant with the modalities of cross-border engagements including M&A, FDI, Joint Ventures, complex transactions and specialist advisory.
• Superlative drafting and reviewing capabilities are a must.
• Must be a “good all-rounder”, have a broad range of experience, and a “hands-on” record in handling work for:
  • Bank
  • Financial services Group
  • Hotel Developers
  • Trading Companies
  • High Net Worth Individuals and Offices
  • Institutions
• Knowledge of formal English and the idiom is vital.
• Arabic will be considered useful but not necessary
• Ideally qualified in England and Wales, but preference is for practitioners with legal education obtained in the United Kingdom, Canada or the United States, with practice experience in those countries or in Hong Kong
